The weather is finally cooling down— or so I thought. We bore the heat long enough. Let winter come.
The day we shot this look, the sun was shining brightly and sweats were dripping all over our faces. It was a little over 40 degrees, and it felt like 50-ish; so not fun. The only way I know how to beat the summer, is by dressing up like it’s December, while not sacrificing comfort, of course. The clothing I wear during summer, must have a breathable material, or else, you will never make me wear it. Thick materials and whatnot belongs to the dump side of my closet, a part I only dig during cold season.
Cotton fabrics are my best friends, and this edgy and snug outfit from Forever21, went really well with this metallic rose gold shoes from Namshi— probably the most flashy pair of shoes I’ve ever owned! Did I also mention that it hugs my feet so nicely, that walking the whole day at Dubai Mall wasn’t an issue, at least for me. One more thing, spot that pizza slice from Bershka, if you can.
Also, you can never go wrong with the metro’s structure as your OOTD background. I may or may have not overused the façade.
This Sleeveless Turtleneck Crop Top from Forever 21 is not double-chin and 70kgs friendly, but I snagged it anyway when F21 treated me for a shopping, because it’s too comfy to put down when it made my shopping bag. Plus, I can’t remember the last time I wore / own a turtleneck. My wardrobe deserves something new.
I paired this top with a long bandage skirt, with a slit on the side, for that oomph vibe! My muscular legs somehow looked chic on this. Plus, this skirt somehow covered my not-crop-top-worthy tummy.
While this outfit may be far from my usual get-up, I like how the whole ensemble looked. I still like to experiment with fashion once in a while, though my fashion meter is most of the time busted. This is something i’ll sport on concerts or city exploration tours. It’s stylish and comfy. And I am all for comfort.
I just can’t wait for the weather to be cooler. I’ll most likely be more productive by then. This heat is kind of draining all my creative juices, that it’s somehow depressing.
Regardless… I still love you and your picturesque city, Dubai.
